Leading for Equity, Safety and Inclusion (LESI)
A training program for practitioners and leaders working in organisations and systems committed to equity, safety and lasting change.
What is LESI?
LESI is a practical, trauma-informed leadership training program built from 25 years of experience in gender equality, safeguarding, and organisational change across the Asia-Pacific.
It is designed for people who are doing this work every day, navigating complex power dynamics, supporting survivors, building inclusive cultures, and trying to stay grounded while they do it. It combines evidence-based frameworks with deep attention to the human experience of working in systems that are often under-resourced, high-stakes, and emotionally demanding.
This is not a compliance training. It is a leadership program for people who want to do this work well, sustainably, and from a grounded place.
Who this is for?
LESI is for practitioners, advisers, program staff, and leaders who:
Work in gender equality, safeguarding, social inclusion, or related fields
Want practical frameworks they can apply immediately, not just theory
Are looking for a peer learning environment with others who understand the complexity of this work
Want to understand how nervous system regulation connects to equitable, psychologically safe leadership
Are ready to go deeper than compliance and build genuine capability
What you will gain
Practical frameworks for leading on gender equality, safeguarding and social inclusion
Understanding of trauma-informed approaches in institutional and program contexts
Tools to navigate power dynamics and foster psychological safety in your team or organisation
A shared language and peer support tools you can use with colleagues long after the program ends
Greater confidence and clarity in applying GEDSI and safeguarding principles in complex environments
How it works
LESI is delivered as an open cohort, a small group of practitioners learning together over a defined period. Cohort size is intentionally limited to ensure genuine peer connection and psychological safety.
Format: 9 weeks, online Cohort size: Maximum 12 participants Next cohort: Coming mid-2026 — expressions of interest now open
What participants say
"What a pleasure to really see you in action today with this workshop. It was a privilege to see the way that you shepherded the conversation around very challenging issues, and the navigation of personal and institutional political economy. It was impressive to see how it resonated with everyone, and how much they trust you to be open with such challenging and personal reflections." — Sarah, DFAT
"Kate helped me trust what I have to offer as a coach. As a result, I showed up fully and took more risks. Kate is outstanding at building capability using simple tools and experiential learning. She holds space and meets people where they are at. She delivers results with clients very quickly and is easily able to identify and address their core challenges."— Anna, Deputy CEO, The Difference Incubator
